How to enable Whatsapp Payments on Your Smartphone
Enable Whatsapp Payments, The UP-based ‘Whatsapp Payment’ has knocked on India. Although this feature is still going through testing, according to the News Agency, IANS will soon reach out to the country’s 20 million WhatsApp users. There will be a direct competition from services like ‘Paytm’ and ‘Google Tez’ giving digital payment service ‘What’s App Payments’.
Now through WhatsApp, you can send money only to your family members, friends, chatbox and ask for money from them. In addition to Whatsapp Payment UPI, SBI, ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank support around 70 banks. Now Let’s learn how to do money transactions through the WhatsApp.
1. Upgrade your Whatsapp
If you are using this feature for the first time, check once that your Whatsapp update is correct or not. The payment feature for Android will be found on the 2.12.46 version of Whatsapp. It will be made available for the iOS user in the coming days. After upgrading, you go to Settings and choose the payment option. Apart from this, simply go to user chatbox and tap ‘attachment’ in a contact and go to payment.
2. Terms and Conditions
Going to the payment option, the user will see the message ‘Send and receive money safely with the UPI’. To send and receive payment then the user has to tap on ‘Accept and Continue’. Here you will have to choose your bank, allowing accounting rules and terms and conditions to be filled.
The essence of the things written in these terms and conditions is that Whatsapp has not legally declared itself a financial institution. That is, Whatsapp will not take responsibility for any kind of obstruction or problem or paused funds etc. which have come in the UPA service. It has been said that Whatsapp is not affiliated with your bank in any way.
3. Verification SMS
By checking Verify via SMS option, the user needs to tap on the green send button. Verification SMS will be sent to you again on this. Keep in mind that this SMS will not be free.
4. Election of Banks
After configuring your number, the user will be given a list of 70 banks, from which to choose his bank. Keep in mind that if the UPI option is attached to your bank, then the next step will be via SMS. If the UPA account is not linked then the user will have to generate the UPI PIN. Be aware that the phone number and the user’s WhatsApp number linked to the bank should not be different.
5. You can also track payments as well as payment
After upgrading the UPI and after linking it to the phone number, go directly to the payment option and select bank audit, fill the amount and click on the sender by filling the UPIN PIN. In this way, you will be able to send and receive money from Whatsapp. Through the WhatsApp Payment History, you will also know whether or not you reached where you sent money. Along with this, the recipient and the sender will also update the information about the money coming and going through the notification.
